Application Criteria

Joseph's House exists to serve the young people of Guilford County. In order to do so in the most effective way possible, we have established the following process for admission to the program.

For our transitional housing program, please follow the steps below to begin the application process. For all other inquiries, please contact Nancy McLean at 336-389-9880.

To qualify for our transitional housing program, you must be...
⇒ 18-21 years old with zero/limited income and no stable housing alternatives
⇒ Willing to submit to drug testing and pass the same
⇒ Able to work and/or attend high school or college classes
⇒ Committed to working towards self-sufficiency within 18 months
⇒ Ready to fully commit to the program until completion

If you meet these initial criteria, please call 336-389-9880 to schedule a tour of the house and interview with our staff. Upon completion of the interview, a decision will be made by members of the Joseph's House staff. If you are accepted into the program, you will be notified shortly after your initial meeting and will be required to sign a residential agreement before beginning the program.
