A recent Point-in-Time Count conducted by the Homeless Prevention Coalition of Guilford County identified homeless young adults between the ages of 18 and 21 as one of the groups not receiving services in our community.
Assessments determined that there are no emergency shelters, transitional housing, or supportive services for this population in Guilford County.
A lack of community support and services forces many of these young adults to exchange sex for food, clothing, and shelter as a means of survival.
Joseph’s House will fill this GAP.
