Read about Jermel's inspiring journey!

Daron - JH first homeless high school graduate. I don't know where I would be or what I would have done had Bishop Brooks not told me about Joseph's House. The staff at Joseph's House believed in me and encouraged me to believe in myself. I know I can make it now. (Graduated from Dudley High School)

Haywood - Joseph's House gave me a second chance. After I lost my mother, I lost all hope. I found new hope at Joseph's House. (After about six months in the program he moved out to reconnect with family)

Patrick - I am a changed man. I literally found myself at Joseph's House. Not only did I find myself, but I found a new relationship with God. I am living on my own, employed and have a new wife. God is good and so is the staff at the Joseph's House. Thanks. (Completed 18-months in the program and moved into his own apartment)

Rashad - When I came to the Joseph's House I was struggling as a homeless high school student. My girlfriend heard about Joseph's House and made the call that changed my life. I was finally able to be a student and enjoy the last few months of my senior year. I graduated and now have my own apartment. I love living on my own. Thanks Mrs. Nancy. (Graduated from Eastern Guilford High School, completed the program and moved into his own apartment).

Tony - I spent most of my life in foster care, moving from group home to group home. When I came to Joseph's House I thought it would be like the rest of the group homes I had lived in. But I was wrong. The staff encouraged me to pursue my goals, stay in school and graduate. As a homeless high school student, I thought my only option was to drop out of school and go to work. Joseph's House gave me a whole new set of options. (Completed nine months in the program and moved in with family, eventually earned his GED and enrolled at Greensboro College).

Tony - A birthday cake just for me and it was made by the Joseph's House board chair. I don't even know how to respond to this kind of love. Thanks Mrs. Benita.

Lawrence - After spending a few nights sleeping on the floor at a friends and drifting from place to place one of my friends told me about the Joseph's House. I made the call but did not expect to get into the program. Thanks to the goodness of the staff I was offered a bed. Boy, I can't tell you what it felt like to finally sleep in a bed. I am grateful for this program, it changed my life. (Completed six months in the program and moved up north with family)
